On a daily basis, we all ask ourselves the question “Where should I eat right now?”

With hundreds of restaurants in the city of Newport Beach - here is my list of essential local restaurants (just in time for all of you Valentine's Day procrastinators):

1. The Crow Bar and Kitchen

2. The Dock

The Dock is the quintessential experience of old Newport charm and style - naturally beautiful and relaxing. And did I mention they have a cozy, outdoor, waterfront patio?

3. Zinque

Hip neighborhood restaurant with French-inspired dishes and small plates. Uniquely curated wine & beer selection on Lido Village's most amazing view outdoor patio. High-design/low-key vibe for breakfast, lunch, drinks or dinner.

Newport Beach’s newest waterfront gastropub. The space is beautiful, featuring rustic wood floors and communal dining tables. Expect to see real food presented in unpretentious ways that are meant to be shared among friends. By the way, they are pet-friendly so make it a lunch date with the pooches!

5. The Cannery Seafood of the Pacific

This elegant family-run Italian spot is Newport Beach's "Best Kept Secret" in my opinion. Many would say it is the best Italian food in Newport Beach, and possibly all of Orange County!
